En destacar aquest reportatge de Morenatti, el jurat de la regi\u00f3 Europa dels World Press Photo 2023 va manifestar la voluntat d&#8217;<strong>obrir aix\u00ed un espai \u201cper debatre el cost civil de la guerra\u201d i reflexionar sobre aquestes \u201cvides afectades per sempre per la viol\u00e8ncia\u201d<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Parlem sobre \u00abWar Wounds\u00bb amb l&#8217;autor, nascut a Saragossa (1969), criat a Jerez de la Frontera, amb \u00e0mplia experi\u00e8ncia en conflictes b\u00e8l\u00b7lics i que atresora premis tan reconeguts com el Pulitzer i l&#8217;Ortega y Gasset en les seves modalitats de fotografia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\" style=\"font-size:15px\"><em>Per Teresa Vallbona i Carlos G. Vela<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Des de World Press Photo han escollit el teu projecte \u00abper destacar les conseq\u00fc\u00e8ncies duradores de la guerra\u00bb&#8230;<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Aquest treball \u00e9s una met\u00e0fora de l&#8217;amputaci\u00f3 d&#8217;un pa\u00eds en ser enva\u00eft, un pa\u00eds les terres del qual s\u00f3n preses. I aquesta amputaci\u00f3 es veu reflectida a cadascuna de les persones que he fotografiat, que han estat ferides per a tota la vida, perqu\u00e8 l&#8217;amputaci\u00f3 \u00e9s definitiva<\/strong>. Per a mi, una invasi\u00f3 i una amputaci\u00f3, tenen una similitud en qu\u00e8 he indagat i comentat amb tots els pacients que apareixen a les meves imatges.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"683\" src=\"https:\/\/www.fundacionpsv.org\/worldpressphotobarcelona\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/04\/WPP-2023Contest-Europe-HON-Emilio-Morenatti-04_low-1024x683.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-7291\"\/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">Yana i la seva mare \u00a9 Emiilio Morenatti<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Com vas arribar als protagonistes del projecte?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">S\u00f3n gent que he anat a buscar a hospitals perduts, a prop i no tan a prop del front. Per exemple, Yana, una nena d&#8217;11 anys que va perdre les dues cames i es trobava en un hospital amb la seva mare, que tamb\u00e9 va perdre una cama, i b\u00e0sicament l&#8217;\u00fanica persona que assistia a totes dues era el germ\u00e0 bess\u00f3 de la nena&#8230;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I all\u00e0 hi busco perfils. <strong>Tots s\u00f3n civils que han patit en primera persona les conseq\u00fc\u00e8ncies d&#8217;una guerra. Tenen diverses amputacions, algunes de molt severes, i no estaven desatesos, per\u00f2 s\u00ed en situacions deplorables ateses les condicions sanit\u00e0ries en qu\u00e8 es troba el pa\u00eds<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Aix\u00ed, fins a ajuntar una s\u00e8rie d&#8217;imatges que corresponen a aquesta s\u00e8rie de ferits de guerra que es basa simplement en civils que, de cop i volta, es queden amb una vida esgarrada.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">El jurat va destacar la teva \u201ccura i empatia\u201d com a fot\u00f2graf en aquest reportatge. De quina manera et vincules amb aquest projecte?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Tinc una forta implicaci\u00f3 amb el tema des que vaig perdre la cama a l&#8217;Afganistan<\/strong> (l&#8217;autor va patir un atemptat mentre viatjava amb forces nord-americanes a Kandahar). <strong>Des d&#8217;aleshores, d&#8217;alguna manera, dirigeixo el meu objectiu a les persones vulnerables<\/strong>, amb qui sento empatia m\u00e9s enll\u00e0 de la meva tasca com a professional, fot\u00f2graf i periodista. En ser jo una persona amb discapacitat, busco involunt\u00e0riament aquesta discapacitat, aquesta vulnerabilitat a la societat que ens toca fotografiar, i aquesta trag\u00e8dia que pot generar una guerra. <strong>Crec que el fotoperiodisme que jo faig \u00e9s molt \u00fatil per visibilitzar aquest dolor, aquest drama que hi ha a les guerres o en qualsevol situaci\u00f3 de calamitat<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"683\" src=\"https:\/\/www.fundacionpsv.org\/worldpressphotobarcelona\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/04\/WPP-2023Contest-Europe-HON-Emilio-Morenatti-08_LOW-1024x683.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-7290\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.fundacionpsv.org\/worldpressphotobarcelona\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/04\/WPP-2023Contest-Europe-HON-Emilio-Morenatti-08_LOW-1024x683.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/www.fundacionpsv.org\/worldpressphotobarcelona\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/04\/WPP-2023Contest-Europe-HON-Emilio-Morenatti-08_LOW-980x653.jpg 980w, https:\/\/www.fundacionpsv.org\/worldpressphotobarcelona\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/04\/WPP-2023Contest-Europe-HON-Emilio-Morenatti-08_LOW-480x320.jpg 480w\" sizes=\"(min-width: 0px) and (max-width: 480px) 480px, (min-width: 481px) and (max-width: 980px) 980px, (min-width: 981px) 1024px, 100vw\" \/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">Yana i el seu grm\u00e0 \u00a9 Emiilio Morenatti<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">No \u00e9s la primera vegada que World Press Photo destaca la teva feina. Abans d&#8217;obtenir aquesta menci\u00f3 d&#8217;honor, ja te&#8217;n van concedir dues m\u00e9s, el 2007 i el 2008, a m\u00e9s d&#8217;un 3er premi en Fotografies Individuals el 2013. Qu\u00e8 significa per a tu aquesta nova distinci\u00f3 del concurs internacional?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Estic molt content per dues raons. B\u00e0sicament, perqu\u00e8 <strong>\u00e9s la s\u00e8rie que m\u00e9s em representa, la dels ferits de guerra. I tamb\u00e9 perqu\u00e8 \u00e9s una s\u00e8rie que no t\u00e9 additius. \u00c9s molt b\u00e0sica, moments molt puntuals de seguiment a persones. No hi ha elements conceptuals a les fotografies, sin\u00f3 exclusivament inter\u00e8s per informar<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">El World Press Photo \u00e9s un gran premi i la nostra refer\u00e8ncia absoluta com a fotoperiodistes. Sempre ho ha estat, malgrat les seves anades i vingudes en anys puntuals. Em refereixo a algunes derives que tamb\u00e9 m&#8217;agradaria esmentar, quan el periodisme no ha estat el seu plat fort.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Per tant, <strong>alg\u00fa com jo, que s\u00f3c 100% fotoperiodista i no frego la fotografia conceptual ni cap aresta art\u00edstica, em sento molt honrat<\/strong>. Aix\u00ed que m&#8217;alegra per partida doble, <strong>perqu\u00e8 comprovo que se segueix premiant el fotoperiodisme pur i dur, que \u00e9s el que fem i defensem<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center wp-block-paragraph\">L&#8217;<strong>exposici\u00f3 World Press Photo 2023 a Barcelona<\/strong> tindr\u00e0 lloc <strong>del 9 de novembre al 17 de desembre<\/strong>.
