Hundreds of migrants are living in the barracks of the old central station of Belgrade, on their way through this city, towards Bosnia, in their attempt to reach France, Germany or England. Without food, without electricity, without sanitary services, these people try to raise money to continue their journey. Many need months before resuming their route.

Photographic Social Vision - La otra frontera

A family from Afghanistan watches from their store next to the train tracks that cross this border, as a freight train passes, towards Macedonia, Europe. Shortly after, the Greek government, evicted this makeshift camp, locking up all the people in militarized camps scattered throughout Greece.

The father and his daughter mourn the death of his wife, due to hypothermia, on a beach in Lesbos, because the boat in which they crossed the Aegean Sea to reach Greece, remained for hours in the drift.

Marc Sanyé (1977) estudia fotografía en Vic en el 2000. Se traslada a Barcelona el año 2002 donde estudia Fotoperiodismo en el IEFC (Institut d’Estudis Fotogràfics de Catalunya ). En 2004, y en el mismo IEFC, estudia Ensayo fotográfico en zonas conflictivas y lo combina con diferentes cursos y talleres de fotografía digital y posproducción.

En 2005 empieza a trabajar en el periódico EL9NOU.

Desde el 2007 diferentes talleres como Albarracín, Periodismo humano Madrid y Photon en Valencia se suman a su docencia.

En 2011 trabaja en Melilla para documentar el trabajo de las mujeres porteadoras en el reportaje ACROSS THE FENCE.

Holies, en 2013, documenta la comunidad ghana en Catalunya.

En 2015, hasta la actualidad, empieza a documentar migraciones en diferentes fronteras en Europa. El resultado es LA OTRA FRONTERA, trabajo publicado en diferentes medios de comunicación.

2020, documenta la pandemia de Covid-19 para distintos medios de comunicación.

En 2021, empieza el proyecto AGUA, que documenta la extrema sequía que sufre Catalunya, y que forma parte de otro proyecto a largo plazo sobre cambio climático. Actualmente trabaja como fotoperiodista en el periódico EL9NOU y como fotógrafa freelance en diferentes proyectos.
