Claudia Maccioni

In 2008 Claudia completed an internship with Agence France-Presse in Jerusalem, working under the supervision of Marco Longari. There she produced the reportage The Last Goodbye, which won the Fotoreportatge Jove scholarship awarded by the Youth Department of the Generalitat de Catalunya. In she published the autobiographical book Claudia. Un año de mi vida, which contained the snapshots she took of herself during her treatment for breast cancer. She exhibited these self-portraits at Fotomanìas (Malaga, 2011). In 2014 she was a finalist for the Premio Revela with her project The Warriors, about female cancer patients in Ghana. For the last year and a half, she has been working on a photo essay about motherhood after breast cancer.
