Sergi Alcàzar
Premiá de Mar, 1991. I discovered photography very early but it was not until I was 16 that, driven by curiosity, I began to visit the marginal neighborhoods of Barcelona and there I began to take photos to document what I lived. Since then documentary filmmaking has helped me delve into the unknown. I have always combined photojournalism with portraiture and fashion. In recent years I have been involved in film projects as a director or cinematographer, creating synergies and coordinating teams. I am attracted to new formats and new contemporary narratives. I think that documentary makers have a long way to go in transmedia approaches and multiplatform approaches that bet on more immersive and interactive experiences for users than those we see in most national media.
