“I am very interested in the concept of atmosphere. The word not only defines an ambience, but also describes the invisible matter that surrounds us. A layer of energy that varies in function of the people or places it envelops. This is why each place causes a particular, unique emotion in us. In photography I am interested above all in capturing atmospheres that convey a certain timelessness. Spaces and places outside of time, which exercise an influence on us through their history, their meaning, or the kind of people who have inhabited them.”
