Members of the "Castellers de Vilafranca" team prepare the base of their upcoming human tower during the "Concurs de Castells de Tarragona", one of the biggest human tower competition in the world. During the event, that takes place only once every two years in the region of Catalonia, Spain, each team builds its own human towers, which are between six and ten levels high. For their success, a crowded and stunning base of hundreds of people needs to be previously perfectly set up. Human towers have been one of the most important cultural traditions in Catalonia for more than 200 years. “Strength, balance, courage and common sense” is their motto - October 6, 2012.

Tarragona, 1986. Fotoperiodista y realizador audiovisual, es miembro de la junta de la Demarcación de Tarragona del Col·legi de Periodistes de Catalunya, responsable de fotografía de la revista FET a Tarragona y profesor del Curso de Fotografía Documental y Publicitaria de la Universitat Rovira i Virgili.

Sus fotografías han sido publicadas en medios internacionales como National Geographic, The New York Times, GEO Magazine, Libération, The Times, Daily Telegraph, The Sunday Times, El País Semanal, Time Out o The Guardian. Una de sus fotografías de castells fue la imagen de La Marató de TV3 el año 2019.

En el ámbito audiovisual es el autor de varios videos oficiales del Concurs de Castells y de los cortos documentales “Les primeres mans” y “Som Castells”, los cuales junto con algunas de sus fotografías han sido premiados en los International Photography Awards de Nueva York, el Festival SESIFF de Seúl o los Tokyo Photography Awards, entre otros.

Entre los reconocimientos más recientes destacan el XX Premi Joan Ventura i Solé de Periodisme Casteller (2015) y el Premi Manyé i Flaquer de Fotoperiodisme (2020 y 2021).
