Exhibitions organized and/or curated by the Photographic Social Vision Foundation seek to foster critical thinking and raise public awareness regarding various social issues and the major challenges of our time.
Joaquín Tusquets de Cabirol. Eloquent Form
The exhibition introduces the public to an extraordinary photographic legacy that might have fallen into oblivion had it not been rediscovered by chance more than half a century after its creation, thanks to its preservation by the photographer’s family and to the Museu Marítim de Barcelona’s safeguarding of some of the negatives.
Local is Global
This selection of photographs is part of the Banco Sabadell Art Collection – Documentary Photography and brings together a range of visual testimonies addressing current issues through an implicit commitment to social awareness and advocacy.
Hasta que la tierra aguante
How can a country as small as Spain be the world’s second-largest exporter of fruit and vegetables? Hasta que la tierra aguante is a photographic investigation into the environmental, social and public health consequences of industrial agribusiness in inland Spain. An exhibition that delves into the artist’s personal universe and presents previously unseen photographs by one of the pioneers of Catalan photojournalism. Defined by social commitment, sensitivity and a close connection with the people she photographed, her work portrays a period of profound social and political transformation.

The Biarnés Effect
This exhibition brings together the first five winning projects of the Joana Biarnés Fellowship for Young Photojournalists, created to support the professional development of emerging documentary photographers and to foster the investigation and dissemination of stories that call for urgent social reflection.

Eroding Franco is a visual journalism project that connects the environmental legacy of Franco’s dictatorship (1939–1975) with Spain’s current desertification crisis. Developed with the support of the 5th Joana Biarnés Grant for Young Photojournalists.
Cartas a Mariví
Samuel NacarCartas a Mariví is an investigation into a generation shaped by precarity and the lack of opportunities, forced to leave Spain’s peripheral regions. The project portrays the consequences of deindustrialisation and the ongoing depopulation of rural Spain. Developed with the support of the 2nd Joana Biarnés Grant for Young Photojournalists.
