Marc Sanyé
Marc Sanyé (1977) studied photography in Vic in 2000. He moved to Barcelona in 2002 where he studied Photojournalism at the IEFC (Institut d’Estudis Fotogràfics de Catalunya). In 2004, and at the same IEFC, he studied Photographic Essay in Conflict Zones and combined it with different courses and workshops in digital photography and post-production.
In 2005 he started working at the EL9NOU newspaper.
Since 2007, different workshops such as Albarracín, Periodismo humano Madrid and Photon in Valencia have added to his teaching.
In 2011 he worked in Melilla to document the work of women porters in the report ACROSS THE FENCE.
Holies, in 2013, documents the Ghanaian community in Catalonia.
In 2015, until today, he begins to document migrations at different borders in Europe. The result is THE OTHER FRONTERA, a work published in different media.
2020, documents the Covid-19 pandemic for different media companies.
In 2021, the AGUA (WATER) project begins, which documents the extreme drought that Catalonia is suffering, and which is part of another long-term project on climate change. He currently works as a photojournalist for the EL9NOU newspaper and as a freelance photographer on different projects.
