Mas Retina
Mas Retina is an organization made up of journalists and photographers who carry out journalistic and audiovisual projects with a focus on human rights and education for global justice for media outlets, NGOs, and institutions. We have worked in Colombia, Brazil, Senegal, Morocco, Nicaragua, Haiti, the Philippines, Iraq, Lebanon, Argentina, and more. We produce photo reports, video documentaries, exhibitions, books, and educational workshops. Every year, we organize the Barcelona International Photography Festival on Human Rights and Global Justice (BCNDH), which hosts 12 large-format street exhibitions throughout the city, around which educational activities are developed, coordinated with the associative network of the different districts. These exhibitions are used as a platform for educational activities coordinated with the local communities in the districts. We work hand in hand with organizations and associations, both collaboratively and through specific proposals, and participate in various networks and coordination spaces, such as Stop Mare Mortum, Bcn antirumors, Xarxa Educativa en suport a les persones refugiades, and Casal d’entitats Mas Guinardó.
