Pedro Arias

Pedro Arias (Barcelona, 1965) is a photojournalist and documentary photographer. His early career in the 1980s was shaped by the use of analogue SLR cameras and traditional photographic darkroom techniques. He studied at the Escola de Mitjans Audiovisuals (EMAV) from 1984 to 1988 and specialized in Photojournalism at the Autonomous University of Barcelona from 2009 to 2010.

In September 2009, he co-founded the Associació de Premsa de la Comunitat Sorda (lescroniques.com), where he is responsible for content design, current affairs news coverage, photojournalism, and the production of political, social, cultural, and sports-related content, as well as interviews. His work also incorporates user experience analysis and interactive tools.
